AFWA Task Force on LCCs recommends Joint Task Force for LCCs and states

In the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies (AFWA) Annual meeting, held the week of Sep 12, 2016, the AFWA directors accepted recommendations of the AFWA Task Force on LCCs to move forward with standing up an LCC Joint Task Force with the states.  The Task Force recognizes the value of collaborative conservation and better coordination to achieve integration of science and management across large scale landscapes.  The Task Force will seek to address 3 key issues and recommendations that have been identified by states to improve LCC-state working relationships across the country.  Broadly these issues revolve around:
