The request for proposals for FY2016 competitive State Wildlife Grants is out. To download the application instructions go towww.grants.gov and search on F16AS00038. There are several changes to the program this year. There is no longer a SWAP enhancement subprogram, there is an emphasis on adaptive management and a preference will be given to projects that are part of landscape-scale initiative such as LCC’s. The program also prioritizes projects that address climate change, pollinators and species that are candidates or petitioned under the federal ESA. The deadline for applying is February 19, 2016. Let me know if you have any questions.
