GCP LCC Business: March 18 call and June meeting in Athens, TX

Date: 07/02/15

Notes from the March 18, 2015 call are now available.

Main topic:

GCP Staff have been preparing the Science Team through discussion on landscape design and a plan for conservation design, including estimated level of effort. There has been some concern about the clarity and need for such a SE Conservation Adaptation Strategy (SECAS) focus; the GCP LCC has engaged with other LCCs since 2011 to support efforts as described in the January meeting notes SECAS is the “naming convention” used for the SE LCCs to have a collective awareness of the an ecologically connected network. The protocol of any LCD effort in GCP should allow a “roll-up” into the larger conservation network.
