GCP LCC student researcher receives 2nd place Cottam Award for outstanding research

Date: 07/02/15

The GCP LCC Partnership extends our sincerest congratulations to Anastasia Krainyk of Texas A&M University - Kingsville for her second place finish at this year's Cottam Award.  The Cottam Award recognizes outstanding student research efforts and is given out annually at the Texas Chapter of The Wildlife Society meeting, which was held February 19-21, 2015 in Corpus Christi.  Ana's work, supervised by Dr. Bart Ballard, on the development of a Decision Support Tool for prioritizing Mottled Duck habitat along the Western Gulf Coast was one of the first projects funded through the GCP LCC with assistance from the Gulf Coast Joint Venture and the US Fish & Wildlife Service.  Congratulations, Ana, and best of luck in pursuing your professional goals!
