Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) Trustees Release Gulf Restoration Plan

On October 5th, the NRDA Trustees released a comprehensive ecosystem restoration plan which will guide their funding decisions for the $8.8 billion in funding that BP will provide in accordance with the settlement agreement.  The plan’s goals are to: 1) restore and conserve habitat; 2) restore water quality; 3) replenish and protect living coastal and marine resources; 4) provide and enhance recreational opportunities; and 5) provide for monitoring, adaptive management, and administrative oversight to support restoration implementation.  Public comments will be accepted through December 4, 2015.
