New Economics of Coastal Adaptation App for GOM--a webinar introduction (1)

The Nature Conservancy has just released the Economics of Coastal Adaptation App on the Gulf of Mexico Coastal Resilience Tool (www.maps.coastalresilience.org/gulf) and we would like to invite you to participate in a presentation and discussion of the new tool on February 19, 2016 at Noon CT (12pm CT/1pm ET/10 PT). 

 

The Economics of Coastal Adaptation (ECA) App allows you to explore current and future risks from coastal hazards and to compare the cost-effectiveness of nature-based (green), artificial (gray), and policy solutions to reduce risks and avert damages across the Gulf of Mexico.  In short, this analysis has shown:

 

The app uses open-source methods initially developed by the Economics of Climate Adaptation working group and expanded by Swiss Re in their climada tool, The Nature Conservancy and UC Santa Cruz.
