"Protecting the Chenier Plain" this fall on PBS

The PBS series This American Land will air a segment called "Protecting the Chenier Plain" at affiliated stations nationally this Fall.  Austin's KLRU is expected to run the show Labor Day weekend.  

Texas and federal natural resource agencies, Southeast Texas stakeholders and civic leaders discuss options to conserve Texas' largest coastal wetland and to improve water quality reaching the Gulf of Mexico from the Sabine River watershed (the state's #1 freshwater source to the Gulf). 
The upper Texas coastal environment and economy from Louisiana to Galveston Bay was the state's most impacted region from Deepwater Horizon.  An expanded 13-minute version of the film is available on the YouTube link below.
