Report out from the Chenier Plain Partners Meeting

The Chenier Plain Partners meeting, held August 10, 2016 at the Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center in Orange, Texas, brought together local, state, and federal government representatives and NGOs from across the Chenier Plain in Louisiana and Texas.    Meeting objectives were to:

Partners presented information on current efforts and identified elements of a common vision for the Chenier Plain as well as common goals. Participants also discussed issues and next steps in three strategy areas: regional gap analysis and planning, funding future projects, and outreach and communication.
